It's been quite a while since I've read any children's books, but I'm so glad that I took the opportunity to review this one. While it's written for the upper elementary age group, the story is one that drew me in. Amanda develops her characters in such a way that adults and children alike can relate to them. Even I shivered a little bit at the bad guy. He's certainly the type that we probably all know and hope to never run into.

As a mom, I can't wait to try to introduce the boys to this book. If you have children in the upper elementary range, can I just suggest that this book make it into some stockings? Your kids will love it and you'll love that they're not only reading, but reading something that's fun and safe. It will inspire the imagination and maybe even some entrepreneurism. This book is my favorite I think everyone should read this book I am very picky and I love this book

This book was incredible. The plot was well thought out and the adjectives really made the story come alive. This is a great book for anyone from fifth to seventh grade who loves mystery or suspense books. I highly recommend this book!!!!!!!
I hope there are more books to follow. I recommend it to intermediate readers, grades 4-6. Can't help but love a mystery!
A book for young adults. Fun. Easy to read.
Andi Unexpected is an excellent middle grade read. This book is for boys and girls because it features a team of boy and girl sleuths who will almost stop at nothing to uncover truth. I am an Ohio elementary school librarian and the response for this book from my students has been outstanding. The reading and interest level is great for advanced 3rd grade through 6th. The story entices the kids to think about the characters and their motivations. Unraveling the mystery is top-notch fun! Andi Unexpected would be a wonderful kids book club discussion and lead-in to the study of the Great Depression which began in 1929.

Great book. Got it to read to see if my nieces may like it. I got caught up in it and read the whole thing. And then bought the other ones. It's tough finding decent books for tweens. They're not quite ready for some of the teen books, but get bored with writing that doesn't challenge them.
This is not my usual genre...

I guess that should be pretty obvious… since it’s not only an young adult (YA) novel, but specifically for ages 8-12. Opening the book, I promptly “put myself” in the place of my grandchildren, and began reading…

The writing style, in my opinion, is just right… intelligent, interesting, exciting… and it’s written from the perspective of a twelve-year old. I am sure my grandchildren will love reading the series!

Amanda Flower does a superb job with these characters… Andi has the best disposition… and Colin is proving to be a good friend to her. Her sister acts just like an older sister would behave. Her aunt is determined to make a home for them, along with showing the proper authority and discipline that she feels they need. The other characters are helpful, interesting, and very real.

Moms and Dads will enjoy the story; it’s a great read for bedtime. Children will enjoy the look of the chapters…

If you’re looking for some great additions to your home library, I would heartedly suggest the Andi Boggs series, beginning with Andi Unexpected… then add Andi Under Pressure.
