Emily is engaged to Matt, as the story unfolds I am not sure if Emily cannot dal with confrontation or hides from reality. Matt is just a jerk who is with her for her money. Matt and his mama Irene bully Emily. There is a mystery about Jackson that is not resolved why is he called Matt's brother and treated so badly by Matt & his mother? I kept reading hoping Emily would realize it is ok to be alone and stop letting people use her. The scene at the wedding tells me Matt has an abusive personality. It can be read as a stand alone but I am off to read book 2. I would recommend this book. I love Jackson's personality and I am rooting for Emily.

Love it. This book was hot. I could not put it down until I finished reading it. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking to read it and aren’t sure if they want to. Trust me, you will love it.

And in comes her fiance's brother. An alpha, tough, hot, sexy and protective of her. Funny how they met. There is so much that leads up to the second one. This is emotional, full of surprises, enlightenment, suspense, and so much more. Very well written. I highly recommend both books.

Emily, a part-time art gallery worker, meets Jackson, a Navy SEAL, when he comes to stay with her and her fiancé Matt. As the story progresses all characters have baggage and drama that they bring in at the appropriate time. Odette Stone knows how to pace her tale to keep the reader engaged. Not once did I feel like I needed to skip sections of the book due to the story dragging on or poor character development.

This story was so surprising in its content I must admit I was floored. We all know that love is a fickle thing but when it comes in the form we least expect; it thtows us for a loop. This story was a bit longish but WOW what a powerhouse read!!! Everyone loves a love story but what if is an epic love story that you will continue until you get the explosive ending of YOUR life??? GREAT STORY!!!!! FIVE BIG STARS!!!!
This book is the continuation of the original My Fiance's Brother and it'ss a winner also. I want a Jackson!! He's a Navy Seal, true alpha male that has a very sweet, fun loving side with his family of Seals (sighs).Then we have sweet, shy Emily that just makes you want to shake her. You just can't be this gullible and naive! But she finally got a back bone with Jackson's help. This is emotional love story that you will love. These books are cliffhangers.

I read this book extra slowly because I did not want it to end

So book 2 starts off where Jackson finds out that Emily is pregnant.

Sparks fly constantly between these two and while they are trying to figure things out there is always someone causing drama somewhere in the background. Whether it is Matt, Irene or Harper (Jacksons ex girlfriend) things just does not run as smoothly.

Some Heartbreaking scenes, some belly laughing moments, intruiging episodes, edge of your seat thumb biting moments, fantastic story with well developed characters.
Before you inveat your ttimeplease be aware kindle unlimited members that both books are not KU offerings. I was QUITE annoyed to find this out after I finished the first cliffhanger book.

Men find a woman's confidence sexy and enticing, so Jackson being attracted to a woman with no self worth or self esteem was not really believable to me and quite frustrating to read. If the 2nd in the series becomes available as a KU book i will attempt to see how this story turns out. I hope Emily grows sone cohones in the second one.
